The unmistakable sound track that used to be played in airports, train stations and other "non-places" (defined by Marc Augé) is the starting point of this artistic production. The aim of the project is to find a new way of expression, involving craftsmanship but also industrial production; that’s the reason why I wrote the word artistic in italics.

I will try to explain the main futures without revealing the magic. Imagine 135 flap clocks. Are you Strong in math and combinatorial analysis? Don't worry; what really matters is that they express both alphanumerical and graphical contents. Add up a gear that detects in which position the flap is found and software that controls the movements and we have this wonderful kinetic sculpture, inspired in the work of art The Moment We Meet by Hsin-Chien Huang.

I want to emphasize that keeping the entire aura but enabling it to adapt to the project's circumstances has meant a humongous effort. In this case past and future meet: from the Solari’s clocks to the #MWC15's novelties; Exit Design, who believed in the project has made it possible. Even more, they invested their creativity and in their magicians, who have made this installation come true.

Jordi Ruiz who analyzed production flows, supervised calibrations, all the process from the start to the end; Carlos Jovellar brought in his know-how in mechanics and his experience in the toughest scenarios with la Fura dels Baus; Esteva contributed with the electronics and improved them so that Fezoo can program the pieces and parts; they made sure that all spoke a common language, so it wouldn’t finish as a tower of Babel. I hope that this creativity outburst, perseverance and goodwill shown at this window to the future, will go after the #MWC15 and will brighten up its capital, Barcelona.
